To put it simply: Aritz Aranburu is the man. To put it less simply: Aritz is the first surfer from the Basque Country of Spainto ever qualify for the CT. He carried a whole region on his back through years of battling it on on tour, winning some huge heats and making a big splash. On the water, he is fast and smooth. On land, he’s kind and generous. Aritz works with a foundation called Kind Surf that teaches disadvantaged kids how to surf. It’s his way of sharing all the joy that surfing has brought him over the years.
