He invented then re-invented then re-re-invented power surfing and threw down the most memorable turn in the history of surfing - at Pipeline, no less. He lives his life with more excitement, enthusiasm and curiosity than a little kid and ended up with more wisdom than an old man. He is one of the greatest surfers in the history of the sport.
